A766 Aramid Insulation Paper

UL Certification No.: E509207

Aratech® A766 is a high-temperature, calendered aramid insulation paper designed for Class H and C systems (200 °C). The calendered structure provides superior density, dimensional stability, and uniform electrical properties. With strong resistance to heat, flames, and chemicals, it delivers consistent performance in even the most demanding applications, making it an ideal choice for virtually every known electrical sheet insulation application. A766 is non-toxic and eco-friendly, and passed UL94 V-0 and VTM-0 burning tests.
It can be supplied in slit rolls (depending on the material thickness) or in rolls (≤ 2000mm)

Aratech® A766 Core Performance Features

The high-pressure calendering process creates a smooth, non-porous surface and a highly uniform internal structure, resulting in exceptional performance.

Superior Dielectric Strength

Offers a robust insulation barrier with a dielectric strength typically exceeding 17 kV/mm, safeguarding equipment from high-voltage stress and electrical breakdown.

Exceptional thermal stability

Engineered for continuous operation at 220°C, this paper maintains its full integrity for over a decade, ensuring reliability in Class H and C systems.

Superior Mechanical Toughness

Features high tensile and tear strength, providing excellent resistance to the physical stresses of automated winding and long-term operational vibration

Excellent Dimensional Stability

Exhibits minimal shrinkage or expansion even under extreme thermal cycling, maintaining precise insulation gaps and structural integrity over its entire service life.

Broad chemical compatibility

Offers excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, and fully compatible with all common industrial varnishes, resins, adhesives, and transformer fluids for seamless system integration.

outstanding Flame Retardancy

Non-melting, UL 94V-0 rated; Limiting Oxygen Index above the threshold for combustion in air at elevated temperatures. Offers safe insulation under elevated temperature and fire-risk environments
